Step-by-step instructions
Choose a PDF to create a separate file for every page. There is no range to enter: all pages are split in their original order. When processing finishes, use the individual links to download only the pages you need, or download them all in one ZIP. The ZIP contains one PDF per page, rather than one combined PDF. Add several PDFs to process them one after another with the same settings. Results are grouped by source file and can also be downloaded in one global ZIP.
When to use it
Use this to separate scanned receipts, send different notes to different people or archive each sheet separately. To keep several pages in one PDF, use Extract PDF pages instead. Splitting copies pages without rendering them as images, so text normally remains selectable. Your original file is not changed.
Before you start
Accepts unlocked PDFs up to 150 MB and 500 pages. Downloads and the ZIP are prepared in browser memory, so large documents can exceed your device’s capacity. Forms, bookmarks and links may be lost, and digital signatures are invalidated. Check each result before sharing it.
Common questions
Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No. Processing is local and we do not store files or filenames on a server. GitHub Pages receives normal page requests and may log connection information. This version has no analytics, advertising or trackers.
Is it free? Is there a daily limit?
Yes. There is no daily limit, per-document quota or paid plan. Run successive batches as needed. Safety limits are 150 MB per file, 500 pages for rendering and 25 million pixels per page. Available memory may impose lower limits.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in modern browsers. A computer often has more memory for large documents. Keep the tab open during processing and check the PDF before sending it.
