Before you start
- When trimming, text stays text: only the page edge moves in to where the content ends.
- When resizing to A4 or Letter, every page is scaled and centred on a fresh sheet: links and form fields are not kept.
- Up to 100 pages at a time. Blank pages are left as they are.
What it doesn’t do
- It doesn’t crop a zone you mark by hand: the trim is automatic, following the content.
- It doesn’t stretch content when resizing: it keeps the proportions and the whole page, with white edges if needed.
- It doesn’t improve quality: a blurry scan stays just as blurry.
Common questions
How does the automatic trim work?
The tool renders each page at low resolution on your device, finds where the content ends and moves the page edge to it, keeping the margin you chose. The content itself is untouched: text is still text and can be selected and copied as before.
A4 or Letter: which one?
A4 is the standard size in Europe; Letter is used in the United States, Canada and Mexico. If the document will be printed or handed in, pick the recipient’s paper size. Page orientation is respected: landscape pages stay landscape.
Is the file uploaded?
No. The PDF is processed on your device. We never receive or store the file or its name. The server only gets the normal requests to load the website.
Is anything lost from the document?
When trimming, no: only the page edge changes. When resizing to A4 or Letter, the page is recomposed and links, forms and bookmarks are not kept. If you need them, use the trim only.
Can I crop a specific zone?
No. The trim is automatic and follows the content of each page; you can’t mark a zone by hand.
