Common questions
Step-by-step instructions
Choose the PDF and sign in the box with your mouse, finger or a stylus. You can also upload a photo or image of your signature (JPG or PNG). Pick the page, drag the signature where you want it and adjust its size. If the signature is a photo on white paper, the tool removes the background so it looks clean.
When to use it
Use it to sign a permission form, a quote or a registration form someone sends you as a PDF, without printing and scanning it. Photograph your signature in good light, on white paper, with a dark pen.
Before you start
It’s an image of your signature, like signing on paper: it isn’t a certificate-based digital signature and won’t do for procedures that require one. The signature sits in the PDF as an image and could be copied, so only send the document to whoever needs it.
Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No. Processing is local and we do not store files or filenames on a server. GitHub Pages receives normal page requests and may log connection information. This version has no analytics, advertising or trackers.
Is it free? Is there a daily limit?
Yes. There is no daily limit, per-document quota or paid plan. Run successive batches as needed. Safety limits are 150 MB per file, 500 pages for rendering and 25 million pixels per page. Available memory may impose lower limits.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in modern browsers. A computer often has more memory for large documents. Keep the tab open during processing and check the PDF before sending it.
