Before you start
- Choose one PDF of up to 150 MB and 500 pages.
- If it has a form, fill in its fields with Select; if not, you can draw and write on top.
- Fields with automatic calculations aren’t recalculated.
- Drawings and text are fixed to the page, but they don’t erase what’s underneath: this is no way to hide information.
- Editing the PDF invalidates digital signatures.
- Check the result before you send it.
When it helps
Many procedures send you a PDF form to fill in and return. No need to print it or scan it: you can write directly in the fields and save a copy.
How to fill it in
- Choose the PDF form in the box above.
- If the PDF has fields, they appear over the page: click and type, tick the boxes or choose an option from the list.
- To write where there is no field, choose the Text tool, click on the page and type.
- Press Save the PDF and download the filled copy.
What it does not do
It does not run the form's JavaScript, so calculated fields do not update on their own: check the totals by hand. Dynamic XFA forms only accept text written on top, not the fields. If the procedure asks for a digital signature, any change invalidates it: sign afterwards, not before.
Before sending it
Open the downloaded PDF and check that everything you wrote shows on the page. The document is processed on your device and is not uploaded anywhere.

Common questions
Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No. PDFs are processed on your device. We do not receive or store your files or their names. The server receives normal requests to load the website. TotPDF keeps no access or error logs of its own. This version has no analytics, advertising or trackers. Tools like iLovePDF, Smallpdf or PDF24 send files to their servers and delete them after one or two hours. TotPDF processes them in your browser: they are never uploaded.
Is it free? Is there a daily limit?
Yes. There is no daily limit, per-document quota or paid plan. Run successive batches as needed. Safety limits are 150 MB per file, 500 pages for rendering and 25 million pixels per page. Available memory may impose lower limits.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in modern browsers. A computer often has more memory for large documents. Keep the tab open during processing and check the PDF before sending it.
