    Before you start

    When it happens

The office scanner or your phone app often saves everything you scan into a single PDF: receipts, invoices or sheets that should be sent separately. Here each page becomes an independent PDF.

    How to do it

    1. Choose the scan in the box above.
    2. Press Split PDF. Each page becomes a file.
    3. Download only the ones you need or all of them together in a ZIP.

If each document has more than one page

Split works page by page. If a document takes two or three pages, use Extract PDF pages to save them together in one PDF, or Organize pages to put them in order first.

    Rotated or blank pages

If the scanner saved a page sideways or blank, fix it first with Organize pages: you can rotate them and remove the extra ones while seeing them as thumbnails.

    Common questions

    Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. PDFs are processed on your device. We do not receive or store your files or their names. The server receives normal requests to load the website. TotPDF keeps no access or error logs of its own. This version has no analytics, advertising or trackers. Tools like iLovePDF, Smallpdf or PDF24 send files to their servers and delete them after one or two hours. TotPDF processes them in your browser: they are never uploaded.

Is it free? Is there a daily limit?

Yes. There is no daily limit, per-document quota or paid plan. Run successive batches as needed. Safety limits are 150 MB per file, 500 pages for rendering and 25 million pixels per page. Available memory may impose lower limits.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, in modern browsers. A computer often has more memory for large documents. Keep the tab open during processing and check the PDF before sending it.
