    Why it comes protected

Many banks protect statements and receipts in PDF. Sometimes only with restrictions: they open without a password but will not let you print, copy text or modify them. Other times they ask for a password to open, which the bank explains on its site or in the email.

    How to remove the protection

    1. Choose the statement in the box above.
    2. If it opens without a password, leave the field empty.
    3. If it asks for one, type it. The password never leaves your device.
    4. Press Unlock PDF and download the copy.

    And then

The copy has no restrictions left. You can merge it with other documents with Merge PDF, pick pages or compress it. Keep it safe: now anyone who has it can open it.

    What it does not do

It does not guess passwords. If the PDF asks for one and you do not know it, we cannot open it. Do this only with your own documents or ones you are allowed to modify.

    Common questions

    Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. PDFs are processed on your device. We do not receive or store your files or their names. The server receives normal requests to load the website. TotPDF keeps no access or error logs of its own. This version has no analytics, advertising or trackers. Tools like iLovePDF, Smallpdf or PDF24 send files to their servers and delete them after one or two hours. TotPDF processes them in your browser: they are never uploaded.

Is it free? Is there a daily limit?

Yes. There is no daily limit, per-document quota or paid plan. Run successive batches as needed. Safety limits are 150 MB per file, 500 pages for rendering and 25 million pixels per page. Available memory may impose lower limits.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, in modern browsers. A computer often has more memory for large documents. Keep the tab open during processing and check the PDF before sending it.
